This is a large-scale and early work by Naminapu Maymuru-White, an acclaimed artist from the Yirrkala community in Arnhem Land. Her work is currently incorporated as a floor installation in the entrance hall at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, to coincide with the exhibition Bark Ladies: Eleven Artists from Yirrkala.
